Watershed Hour: The Creation Story of the Watershed Hour Shirt

watershedhour:

Before we were a band, Natalie wanted shirts. Just like how she wanted a touring van (which still comes up) & band posters (if anyone requests a poster, we will make you one). However the guitarist & I were all about the music, until we started playing shows & started losing gas money. I realized…

We also ship internationally.

Watershed Hour: Do you even have a set list?

watershedhour:

Depends. On 4 factors really.

  • Writing utensil? -pen/crayon/lipstick
  • Paper? -memo/receipt/napkin
  • Time? -5 minutes before performing
  • Mood? -can/can’t be bothered to write

If all these things are present then we have a set list. If even one of these things are missing than we’re winging it.

I write set lists.

Watershed Hour: So you guys play folk.

watershedhour:

5 minutes to the bus. Why we keep doing this to ourselves I don’t know. I’m carrying equipment in the stairwell, when all of a sudden a slow moving creature catches my eye through the window. Natalie. I begin to knock vivaciously and she’s not hearing it. I keep knocking until she jumps & looks…

My Saturday.

Watershed Hour: We have 5 minutes to catch the bus & a shit ton of equipment.

watershedhour:

You hear frantic knocking on your door on a Saturday afternoon. You open the door to see me staring at you with a pleading look. You fast walk to my room and pick up whatever drum crap is lying outside of my room today. You then begin the arduous walk to the other side of campus wondering how…

My band again.

Watershed Hour: "I need to see your ID." We're on the LED sign.

watershedhour:

I need to see your ID.

  • We’re the band.
  • I don’t carry ID.
  • I forgot it.
  • I’m not drinking.
  • The owner said we could be here.
  • Sure, right after I carry this giant amp in.

We’ve used all this & more to get past this request. At a recent show we carried equipment back and forth in no problem….

^Still me.

Watershed Hour: More cowbell

watershedhour:

I saw Adam (also known as “Feiz” so says his facebook) drumming in Quantum Odyssey with a large but shitty sounding cowbell. Bigger doesn’t always mean better kids. I gave Feiz a cowbell because I had 2 identical cowbells. You can now hear the cowbell at the end of his new band’s first released…

^Me again

Watershed Hour: The awkward moment when what you can hear rolling around in the bus compartment, is your amp

watershedhour:

The PRESTO system on the bus was down Saturday night so Natalie and I got on for free which was a bonus. During the hour and a bit bus ride I could hear something rolling in the compartment below. Soon I realized it was our amp and Natalie and I shared a look. All of a sudden the bus driver takes…

^That’s me.
